General 3D TV FAQ

Q: What TVs can I use passive 3D glasses with?

A: All of them, as long as you have the correct content to watch. Passive glasses are the blue/red or polarised ones you have probably used in the cinema or at the theme park. As long as you have the correct movie you can watch it but it isnt anywhere near as good as with a 3DTV and active glasses.

Update: The LG 47LD950 from LG allows you to use passive polarised glasses for 3D movies but the quality isnt as good and it's expensive. This is a move towards the new technology allowing us to watch high quality 3D movies with passive polarised glasses but the price needs to go down and quality needs to go up.

Q: Is there a delay to Sky 3D Sports?

A: Yes, but no more so than the difference between standard tv and HD tv.

Q: Do you need to upgrade your aerial?

A: Well when 3D comes to freeview or the like then you might, but at present you can only get 3D TV from Sky.

Q: Can you play a 3D dvd on normal hd tv?

A: Afraid not. You'll need a 3D ready TV, 3D glasses and a 3D movie player.
